Beloved Mother, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother
Doris M. (Veillette) Blanchette, 81, a resident of Lowell, died following a brief illness surrounded by her loving family at Tufts Medical Center on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late George A. Blanchette until his passing in 2003.
She was born in Lowell on July 8, 1941 and was a daughter of the late Florence (Joyce) and Leo Veillette.
Doris was a communicant of St. Michael Church.
Her greatest joy was spending quality time with her family. She absolutely loved it when the family was all together having a good time. Those were the moments she truly cherished.
Doris is survived and will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Donna Bourassa and her husband Roland of Lowell and Brenda Blanchard and her husband John of Dracut; her four grandchildren, Corey Bourassa, John Blanchard II, Kerri-Ann Bourassa and Krystina Kimmins; her three great-grandchildren, Lucas, Hunter and Cole; her brother, Robert Veillette; her brother-in-law, Roger Blanchette and his wife Marion of Lowell; her brother-in-law, David Laferriere of Lowell; as well as many nieces, nephews and other close family.
She was the sister to the late Florence Garabedian, Louise Veillette, Almeiria Banfield and Dorothy Agrella.
Relatives and friends are invited to Doris’ Life Celebration on Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 3 until 6 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM at St. Michael Church, Lowell. Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
