Doris A. (Marcotte) Bisson, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Roland R. Bisson with whom she shared 42 years of marriage.
Born October 1934 in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Eva (Bruneau) Marcotte.
Doris was a long time employee of the Fairhaven Nursing Home as a nurses' aide, retiring with over 25 years of service.
She was a communicant of Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Church for many years.
She enjoyed time spent with her family and especially time with her grandchildren.
She leaves three children and their spouses, Kenneth and Ann Marie (Barry) Bisson of East Hampstead, NH, Steven and Amy (Gosselin) Bisson of Dracut and Donald and Elaine (Bisson) Tyler of Litchfield, NH; her siblings, Leo Marcotte and his wife Diane of Nashua, NH, Lillian Dalpe and her husband Lucien of Dracut and Alfred Marcotte of Hudson, NH. Doris has nine grandchildren, Kathryn, Allison and Jack Bisson, Brenna Gosselin, Brian, Kelly and Colleen Bisson, Cassandra and Emily Tyler. Doris is the sister of the late Roland Marcotte married to Denise Marcotte of Lowell. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Doris was a longtime resident of Dracut, residing the past few years at the Dracut Senior Housing complex near her cousin Rita LaBrie, and Aunt, Claire Sosnowy who recently turned 100 years old.
