Lowell - Doris M. (Desmarais) (Frechette) Bisson, a Centralville resident, widow of Edward J. Frechette and Leo R. Bisson, died Monday May 10, 2010 after a period of declining health. She was 95.
She was born in Lowell on May 27, 1914, a daughter of the late Albert and Emerance (Paquette) Desmarais.
In earlier years Doris worked in the local mills.
She was a communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church in Lowell.
Doris was a resident at Wingate of Andover for the past year and a half. While residing there she earned the nickname Big Big. Staff and residents would call her this because whenever someone would leave her presence she would say, "I love you Big Big."
Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Roger and Delores Frechette of St. Cloud, FL; three stepchildren and their spouses, Victor and Janet Bisson of Lowell, Ruth and Edward Cielakie of Dunstable, Gloria and John Gendreau of Pepperell; a son in law Roland Hamilton of Lowell; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Eno of Dracut; and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Priscilla Hamilton, and sister of the late Hector and Wilbrod Desmarais, Yvonne Dube, Margaret Gaudet, Blanche Bailey, and Irene Greenwood.
