Donna M. (Wojas) Rourke, 83, of Lowell, died unexpectedly, Saturday, April 18, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late John R. Rourke.
She was born in Lowell on January 1, 1943, a daughter of the late Madelyn C. (Hodgdon) and Stanley E. Wojas. Most recently, Donna had worked in the Lawrence General Gift Shop, where her warmth and dedicated service shown through to all patients and visitors.
Donna will be forever remembered as a woman devoted to her faith, a woman who loved her family and a woman who took pride in all she did.
She is survived by her two sons, David Rourke of Lowell and John Rourke and his wife, Cheryl of Georgia; her son-in-law, Eric Engler; her five grandchildren, Paul, Dustin, Taylor, Paige and Zachary; her great-grandson, Mason; her two sisters, Linda Paquette and her husband, Andre of Dracut and Sharon “Cuppy” Gingras and her husband, Philip of Pelham, NH; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Donna was the mother of the late Kelly Engler and sister of the late John Wojas, Gail Wojas, Sandra Elie and her husband Robert, Stanley Wojas and Michael Wojas.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Nina and the entire staff at Giving Tree Senior Living for their exceptional care of their mother these last few years.
Relatives and friends are invited to Donna’s Life Celebration on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 9 until 11 AM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. A brief prayer service will be held at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial to follow in Richardson Cemetery, Dracut.
