Donna M. Lamphier

Lowell - Donna M. (Vadeboncoeur)(Cote) Lamphier, 60, a Lowell resident, died Wednesday morning, April 1, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Tewksbury on August 16, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Joseph D. and Marcelle (Payette) Vadeboncoeur.
Donna grew up in Lowell, was a 1969 graduate of Tewksbury State Hospital Nursing School and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 40 years. She had been employed by several local nursing homes, but retired from the E.N. Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford, MA.
In her spare time she loved knitting, crocheting and spending time with her family, vacationing in Bristol, NH. She also enjoyed working as a nurse with the elderly, playing bingo and spending time with her granddaughter.
Donna was a devoted mother to her two sons and daughter-in-law, Scott F. Lamphier and Shawn M. and Florance Lamphier, all of Lowell. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Chloe M. Lamphier; a brother, Dennis Shaughnessy and his wife Diane of Dracut; a sister, Denise Marcotte and her husband Roland of Lowell; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Edward and Gloria Lamphier of Andover, Richard and Rose Lamphier of Newport Ritchie, FL, Clarence and Carol Lamphier, Jr. of Daytona, FL, Gerald and Sheila Lamphier of St. Cloud,FL and John Lamphier of Littleton, Fay Baillargeon of Methuen, Florence and Gerard Dube and Nancy and Andy Netzer, all of Lowell. She was a sister of the late Ronald Vadeboncoeur and Yvette Connell, and sister-in-law of the late Ruth Carroll, Muriel Lamphier, Joan and Thomas Gray, Henry Baillargeon. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
