Donna M. (Riley) Bowles, 73, of Dracut, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026. Though her family was not prepared to say goodbye, they are forever grateful for the time, love, laughter and countless memories they shared. She was the beloved wife of Steven Bowles.
She was born on December 21, 1952 in Lowell and was the daughter of the late Theresa (Vigeant) and John Riley. She was raised and educated in Lowell and worked for many years as a cashier for Market Basket.
Donna found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially watching The Wizard of Oz and The Nightmare Before Christmas, two films she loved and revisited throughout the years. She loved crafts, puzzles, crosswords and reading. Donna cherished her time with Steven going to plays and watching movies together.
In addition to her husband Steven, Donna is survived by her daughters, Dale Lemire of Hollis, NH and Marsha Paegle and her husband, Jay of Lowell; her three grandchildren, Joshua Lemire and his wife, Tara and Brandon and Kaitlyn Pelland; her great-grandchildren, Alivia and Charlotte; her siblings, Jackie Faneuf and her husband, David of Lowell, John Riley and his wife, Debbie of Hudson, NH, Debbie Szczechura and her husband, Stephen of Pelham, NH, Richard Riley and his wife, Karen of Lowell, Barbara Dougherty and her husband, Mark of Dracut and Ed Riley and his wife, Karen of Lowell; her brother-in-law, Michael Noble; her ex-husband, Donald Lemire and his wife, Linda; as well as many other extended family and friends.
She was the sister of the late Pauline (Riley) Noble.
At the family’s request, all services were held privately. Donations in Donna’s memory may be made to the Animal Humane Society: Donor Services, Animal Humane Society, 845 Meadow Ln N, Golden Valley, MN 55422.
