Donald R. Couture

Dracut – Donald R. Couture, 75, a resident of Dracut, died Tuesday morning, July 29, 2014 at a local healthcare facility with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of the late Dorothy P. "Pat" (Pyrcz) Couture.
Born in Lowell on November 5, 1938, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Doris (Chateauneuf) Couture.
Following school, Mr. Couture served with the United States Air Force.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Couture was a self employed painting contractor.
He enjoyed camping, fishing and playing the horses at Rockingham Park in Salem, NH.
His favorite past time was spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He was a member of Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish in Dracut.
Donald leaves two sons, Donald Couture of Dracut and David Couture and his wife Kelly of Pelham, NH; a daughter, Susan Gamache and her husband Normand of Billerica; 7 grandchildren, Jonathan Couture and his wife Kaitlin, Jennifer Schaeffer and her husband Billy, Nicholas Runkle, Jacob Couture, Kyle Couture, Benjamin Couture and Ava Couture; 3 great grandchildren, Kyleigh and Aiden Couture, Addison Schaeffer; a brother, Robert Couture of Tewksbury; a sister-in-law, Ruth Couture of Lowell; also several cousins among whom are his close cousins, the Coleman's, with whom he enjoyed camping in the White Mountains of NH. He also leaves dear friends, Holly and Steve Kemp of CA, Judy and Walter Nobrega of CA, Don and Parky Sousa of NH and Joan Wawiernia of Webster. He was the grandfather of the late Adam Michael Hall and a brother of the late Roger, Richard "Butch", and Jacqueline Couture.
