Lowell – Donald W. Boucher… loving husband, father, grandfather and brother
LOWELL – Donald W. Boucher, 77, a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, died Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Saints Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Annette T. (Paquette) Boucher with whom he would have celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on October 3, 2011.
Born in Lowell on June 2, 1933, he was a son of the late Albert and Adelaine (Mercier) Boucher.
Mr. Boucher attended the former St. Joseph’s Parochial School in Lowell.
He served with the United States Army during the Korean War from 1953 until his honorable discharge in 1955.
Mr. Boucher retired from Hannaford Supermarket in Dracut, formerly Alexander’s Supermarket, after 40 years and was affectionately known as pepere.
He enjoyed working outside in his yard and refinishing furniture, but most important to him was spending time with his family and two grandsons.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Normand Brodeur of Dracut and Linda and Steven Hutchinson of Lowell; two grandsons, Normand Brodeur of Dracut and David Hutchinson of Lowell; a brother, Normand Boucher and his wife Charlotte of Lowell; a sister, Sr. Anita Boucher, SGC of Lowell; three sisters-in-law, Cecile Boucher of Lowell, Rita Boucher of Chelmsford and Mary Paquette of FL; also many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was a brother of the late Gerard, Raymond, Robert and Elphege Boucher, Gertrude Lacasse, Violet Rondeau and Roger Boucher.
