Donald Ackerman

Donald Ackerman, 77, a resident of Maynard, passed away at his home on Monday, May 30, 2016 with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Madeline "Maddy" (Coutu) Ackerman.
Born in Bronx, New York on October 25, 1938, he was a son of the late Victor E. and Josephine (McDonough) Ackerman.
Mr. Ackerman was a graduate of St. James High School in N.Y. He enlisted with the United States Navy and was Honorably Discharged in 1962.
An electrician by trade, he was also the owner of AC Western Wear in Littleton, MA.
Don enjoyed the outdoors where he spent time hunting and fishing.
He was a member of the Weston United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife Maddy, he leaves a son, Michael J. Ackerman of Maynard; 5 grandchildren, Ryan M. Barger, Morgan M. Cantu, Ashley James, Matthew James and Robert Ackerman; 11 great grandchildren; a brother, Victor E. Ackerman, Jr. of John's Creek, GA; two sisters, Terrilyn Wilson and Thomasina Hazuda, both of NJ. He was the father of the late Cynthia A. Ackerman.
