Dominick Tropeano
Dracut- Dominick Tropeano, 84, husband of Constance (Parent) Tropeano, a longtime resident of this town died Wednesday, March 31 at his home.

Born in New York on August 11, 1919, he was a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Darnaud) Tropeano. He was a communicant of Ste Therese Church and a member of the parish Men's Club.

Nick was very active in the town having served on the Call Fire Department and as a Foster Grandparent at the Campbell School. He also held memberships in the Dracut Knights of Columbus, Council 4225, the Dracut Senior Citizens' Club and the Centralville Senior Citizens Club.

An Army veteran of WW II, he served with the 101st Airborne Division where he received the Purple Heart for wounds incurred in the European Theatre. Among his decorations were the European Theatre Operations Ribbon and the Distinguished Unit Badge with three Battle Stars.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed in the Security Department at the Veterans' Hospital in Bedford. He was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

Surviving him besides his wife of 56 years are two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Ernest Arsenault of Lowell and Janet and Paul Hendrickx of Las Vegas; one brother, Ernest Tropeano of New York, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gerald and Claire Parent of Dracut; 5 grandchildren, Bryan and Kevin Arsenault, both of Lowell and Nicole Garay, Robert Marchand and Christopher Marchand, all of Las Vegas; 5 great-grandchildren and an aunt, Rena Roberge of Lowell;also several nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Bruce Tropeano and the brother of the late Frank Tropeano, Florence Cavallo, Mary Linsalata and Jennie Demonte.
