OBITUARY

DRACUT - Dolores M. (Hurley) Wholey a resident of Dracut and Boynton Beach Florida died Monday. October 25. 2004, after a brief illness at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Dracut. She was the wife of the late Edward R. Wholey, with whom she celebrated their 50th Wedding anniversary in 1992. She was born in Lowell, daughter of the late Charles F.Hurley and Margaret (Kelley) Hurley. She graduated from St. Michael Elementary School and Lowell High School.
Mrs. Wholey was an avid sports fan and enjoyed traveling and reading. She was an active member of St Michael Church, Lowell where she served as President of the Holy Rosary Society and Prefect of St. Dominic's Club. She also held membership in the Legion of Mary, the Oblate of Mary Immaculate and the League of Catholic Women. She was a member of the Retirees of the United States Civil Service Commission.
She is survived by four children and their spouses, Jean and Jack Dowd of Lowell, Edward R. and Janet (MacLennan) Wholey of Bedford, Nova Scotia, Canada, Paul C. and Kathleen (Skehan) Wholey of Dracut and Donna M. Wholey-Thivierge and her husband Alan R Thivierge of Dracut.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Kathryn Levesque and her husband Michael of Nashua, NH, Michael B. Dowd and his wife Penny (Mahaleris) Dowd of Dracut, Catherine E. (Dowd) Hugo and her husband John of Nashua, NH, Daniel Wholey of Dracut, Sheileagh Wholey of Bedford, Nova Scotia, Canada, Meghan Wholey of Dracut, and Alanna W. Thivierge of Dracut. She also leaves three great grand children, Emily Grace Dowd, Sydney Kathleen Levesque and Madison Olivia Hugo.
Mrs. Wholey is also survived by her sisters Bernadette Fletcher, Grace Hurley and Margaret Favreau and her husband Alfred all of Lowell, a sister-in-law Rita Hurley of Dracut, and a niece Sister Charlene Favreau CSJ of Brighton. She is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late John T. Hurley and Estelle Hurley.
