Dolores Doucette

DRACUT - Dolores (Talbot) Doucette, 79, a Dracut resident, died on Monday evening, October 11, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Albert Doucette with whom she was married for 53 years.
Born in Lowell on November 10, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Merilda (Lemire) Talbot.
She was a graduate of Ste. Jeanne d' Arc Parochial School and St. Joseph High School.
Following graduation she worked for the Lowell Shoe Company for a short time. She then went to work for the Raytheon Corporation in South Lowell, her final position as a group leader in the electrical department, where she worked for 34 years until illness forced her retirement.
She was a member of Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish in Dracut.
Mrs. Doucette enjoyed travelling and making crafts.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by several nieces and nephews, among who are her Godchild, Ronald Talbot and his wife Carol of Whately, Roger Geoffroy and his wife Gloria of Lowell, Joanne Clark and her husband Tom of Santa Cruz, CA. She was the sister of the late Regina Geoffroy, Anita Marchand, Robert Talbot and Roland Talbot.
Mrs. Doucette's family would like to thank the people who helped to care and help her through the 23 years that she battled lung and thyroid cancer, especially Pauline Chaput, Pauline Turcotte and Denise Waterworth. They also send a heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at Massachusetts General Hospital for their care and compassion.
