Denise D. Matte

Denise D. Matte, age 76, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023 after a long cancer journey.

Born in Lowell on June 13, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Bernadette C. (Houle) and George N. Matte.

She attended Presentation of Mary Academy of Hudson, NH, Tewksbury Hospital School of Nursing and Northern Essex Community College, graduating with an Associate in Science as a Registered Nurse.

She is survived and will be deeply missed by her two sisters, Michelle Matte of Sarasota, FL and Paulette Holmes and her husband Jonathan of Dunstable; her two nieces, Kathryn Holmes of Dunstable and Emily Holmes of Merrimack, NH.

She was the wife of the late Glenn Crocker and is also survived by her stepchildren, Matthew Crocker and his wife Aimee, Jeffrey Crocker and his wife Camille and Chris Crocker and her step grandchildren, Nolan, Addie and Calvin Crocker.

Relatives and friends are invited to Denise’s Funeral Mass on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 10 AM at ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI CHURCH, 115 Wheeler Road, Dracut. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Denise’s memory to either the Cancer Center at Lowell General Hospital, 295 Varnum Avenue, Lowell, MA 01854 or to Tufts Medicine Care at Home, Philanthropy Office, 360 Merrimack Street, Suite 425, Lawrence, MA 01843.
