Denise C. (Baribeault) Lessard

August 29, 1944 — January 29, 2021

Denise C. "Dee" (Baribeault) Lessard, Beloved wife of the late Joseph Raymond Lessard, passed away peacefully at her Pelham, NH home surrounded by her family on Friday, January 29, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 76.

She was born in Lowell on August 29, 1944, a daughter of the late Lucien and Rita
(Beaudry) Baribeault.  She attended local schools, and worked for many years in medical office management roles at St. Joseph's Hospital; Dr. Daniel J. O'Connor Jr. radiology; Dr. Titus Plomaritis chiropractic; Merrimack Valley Chiropractic, where she developed a deep friendship with Dr. Leah Parent Geary; and Drs. Montminy optometrists.  Upon retirement, she devoted more than 10 years to caring for her mother at home, until her passing at the age of 100 in 2016.

Denise was a fun-loving, positive person who always made others feel good.  She enjoyed playing and watching golf, going out to eat or the movies with friends, as well as watching college and pro football and baseball, reading, and listening to country music.

Dee and Ray had celebrated 48 years of marriage at the time of his death in 2016.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Timothy Stone of
Pelham, NH; a brother, Richard Baribeault of Whitinsville, MA; a sister, Celine Alexander
of Newport, RI; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend many thanks to her team of doctors at Lowell General Cancer Center, as well as the caregivers at Merrimack Valley Hospice.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to these two organizations.
