DRACUT - Denise B. (Maher) Grady, 58, a Dracut resident, passed away at her home on Monday, December 3, 2018 after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Daniel T. Grady, with whom she celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with on September 29, 2018.
Born in Lowell on May 2, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Victor B. and Gertrude (Larrivee) Maher.
Denise was raised in the Centralville section of Lowell and was a graduate of St. Louis Grammar School and St. Louis Academy.
She was employed in administration and collections.
A courageous person with an independent spirit, she exhibited a textbook passion for love, life, fun, happiness and treasured the moments spent with her grandson Lowell whom she "Loved to the Moon and Back".
Denise enjoyed a number of hobbies such as genealogy, antiquing, dancing, home improvement, decorating her home, restaurants, live music, travel, documentary films, and conversing with her friends and family.
With an unwavering belief in God, she often used the power of prayer to illuminate her path in life.
In addition to her husband Dan, she posthumously shines down upon son, Sean P. Grady and wife Jessica (Long) Grady of North Providence, RI, and Eric D. Grady of Dracut; grandson, Lowell P. Grady of North Providence, RI; sisters, Jeanne (Maher) Patenaude and Maureen (Maher) Maslanka, of Dracut; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is the sister of the late Paul A. Maher, Sr., and sister-in-law of the late Stanley "Mushy" Maslanka.
GRADY - Relatives and friends are invited to Denise's Life Celebration this Sunday from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning at 11 AM in St. Michael's Church. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery. Denise requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Immune Deficiency Foundation at www.primaryimmune.org.
