Denise Cailler, 51, lifelong Lowell resident, beloved partner of Victoria Stevens of Lowell, died Monday March 15, 2010 at her home following a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Lowell on March 8, 1959 she was a daughter of Pauline (Miner) Cailler of Lowell and the late Raymond E. Cailler.
Denise was employed for many years as the head administrative assistant at Lowell District Court. She was also employed as an office manager for the Mazur Park Apartments for more than 20 years. Denise was the President of the Lowell Historical Society for the past seven years. Her enthusiasm and knowledge of the history of Lowell was unmistakable.
She had a passion for motorcycles and loved to ride. Denise was an avid hockey fan and was a Bruins season ticket holder for many years. She also enjoyed camping in Ossipee, NH as well as playing cards.
In addition to her partner, Vicki and her mother, Pauline, survivors include a son, Shawn M. Cailler and his wife Meaghan of Lowell; a daughter, Jodi A. Cailler of Billerica; a grandson, Shawn M. Cailler of Lowell .Denise was looking forward to the arrival of her granddaughter, Lylah D. Cailler. Denise leaves two brothers, Michael Cailler and his wife, Debra of Lowell, David Cailler of Lowell; two sisters, Donna Fontaine and her husband, Jeffrey of Lowell, Linda Coupal and her husband, Phil of Lowell; four step sons, Todd Stevens of Auburn, ME, Joshua Stevens and his wife Betsy of Ellsworth, ME, Corey Stevens of Ontario, CA, Clair Broad of Standish, ME, their children, Tristan, Sierra, Emmalee and Nicholas Stevens; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Fontaine, Christopher Fontaine, Phil Coupal, Holly Rizzuto, Jeremy Coupal, Melanie Mendonca, Tiffanie Cailler, Britanie Cailler, Stephanie Cailler, Justin Cailler; 5 great nieces, 3 great nephews; dear friends, Christina Mechalides and Bobbie Vandyke; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
