LOWELL – Delia P. "Diane" (Czyzewski) Lavallee, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, passed away Tuesday evening, December 18, 2012, at the D'Youville Life and Wellness Community surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. "Woody" Lavallee.
Born in Southbridge on May 13, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Nellie (Kisiewski) Czyzewski.
Mrs. Lavallee had been employed by the Harris Corporation and Sanders Associates, both of Nashua, NH, prior to her retirement.
Mrs. Lavallee was a parishioner of the former St. Louis de France Church. She was a member of the D'Youville Senior Care Ladies Guild.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth E. and Susan Lavallee of Chelmsford; two grandchildren, Matthew and Jenna Lavallee, both of Chelmsford; a brother, Norman Czyzewski of Webster; two sisters and their husbands, Gladys and Roland Livernois and Nancy and Maurice Capistrand, all of Southbridge; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Victoria Czyzewski and Stella Smith, both of Fiskdale, Ida Czyzewski of Southbridge, Gerard Lavallee, Fleurette Moustafa, Jeannine Lavallee, Paul Lavallee, Marcelle Lavallee and Theresa Lavallee, all of Lowell and Jeannette Lavallee of Haverhill; also many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews. She was a sister of the late Peter, Joseph, Frederick and Stanley Czyzewski, Walter Michalski, Caroline Schur, Helen Trombley, Stella Ohop and Stephanie Welch.
Delia's family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at the D'Youville Life and Wellness Community and VNA Hospice of Greater Lowell for the compassionate care that was given to her during her stay there.
