Deborah M. (McArthur) Maille

DRACUT - Deborah M. (McArthur) Maille, RN, age 67, a longtime resident of Dracut died Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Sunny Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chelmsford following a long illness.

She was born in Boston on November 29, 1953, and was a daughter of the late Charles and Marie (Killam) McArthur. She received her education in Chelmsford schools and was a graduate of Chelmsford High School. She earned an Associates Degree in Nursing from Northern Essex Community College.

Prior to her retirement, Deborah was employed for many years as a registered nurse by the former Lowell Walk-In Medical Center. Earlier in her career she was employed for many years as a registered nurse at the former St. Joseph Hospital in Lowell.

In her free time, she enjoyed baking with her grandchildren, gardening, reading, spending time at the beach, and summers at Lake Winnipesaukee. She also loved spending time helping to care for the horses at Strongwater Farm in Tewksbury.

Deborah is survived by two sons, Justin J. Maille of Dracut and Ian M. Maille and his wife Sina of Lowell; three grandchildren, Taylor L. Maille of Merrimack, NH, Tyrone L. Evans and his wife Cassidy of Spokane, WA, and Felicity A. Miranda and her husband Salvador of Lowell; a brother, Charles McArthur and his wife Judi of Hubbardston; a sister Pamela J. Endyke and her husband Michael of Windham, NH; her nephew and godson, Dylan Endyke of New York City, NY; and two nieces, Caitlin Endyke and her husband Dain Goding of Lynn and Jasmine Tyler and her husband Phillip of Gardner.

She was also the mother of the late Shawn Griffin.

It being her wish, there will be no visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Deborah's Memorial Service at All Saints' Episcopal Church, 10 Billerica Road, Chelmsford on Saturday, November 27th at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Deborah's memory to Strongwater Farm Therapeutic Equestrian Center, Inc., 500 Livingston St., P.O. Box 754, Tewksbury, MA 01876 or at https://strongwaterfarm.org/
