Beloved Son, Father, Brother, Uncle & Nephew
David C. Luz, a resident of Billerica and formerly of Lowell passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, March 19, 2023. He was 46.
Born in Lowell on November 1, 1976, he was a son of Leonard C. Luz, Jr. of North Carolina and Mary-Margaret (Capella) Luz of Derry, NH who survive him.
David was a 1994 graduate of the Greater Lowell Technical High School where he took part in the automotive program. David was a "jack of all trades" and could fix anything. His job title at A & M Roofing was never clear. He was the warehouse manager, head mechanic and anything else that needed to be done.
According to family, David was kind, generous and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He was always willing to lend a hand whenever anyone was in need. David appreciated old cars and liked tinkering with them. He enjoyed estate and yard sales. David looked forward to buying selling and trading his finds. He was fond of visiting his house in Port St. Lucie, FL.
Most of all for David it was about family. He relished every minute of being around them. He loved being a dad and uncle and lit up the room when he entered. He will be sorely missed.
Surviving David besides his parents are his son David C. Luz, Jr. of Chelmsford; two brothers and sisters in law, Lennie and Danielle Luz of Lowell, Mark and Dawn Luz of Manchester, NH; a sister Beth Barela of Arizona; his uncles Curtt D. Shay and Clark L. Shay, Jr. both of Lowell; nieces and nephews, Cameron, Coleman and Jessica Luz of Lowell, Ronald Ricard of Manchester, NH, Nikolas Luz of North Carolina, Jillian Luz of Manchester, NH, Alyssa, Katie and Delia Barela of Arizona.
