David L. Hartford

LOWELL - David L. Hartford, age 67, a longtime resident of Lowell died unexpectedly on his birthday Thursday, November 18, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Lowell on November 18, 1954, and was a son of the late Lyle Hartford and Mary (Clarke) Dion. He received his education in Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School.

David proudly served his country in the United Army during the Vietnam War and the United States Navy during peacetime.

He was employed as an electrician for many years.

David was very skilled in martial arts and was a blackbelt in Kenpo Karate. He was also an avid fan of the New England Patriots and enjoyed spending time in the company of his loving family.

He is survived by his brother Christopher Dion and his wife Sally of Lowell; four sisters, Norma Merritt of Florida, Cynthia Deschenes of Lowell, Donna Coffey and her husband John of Ocala, Florida, and Valerie Winn and her husband Kevin of Lowell; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends. He was also the brother of the late Darlene Chesser.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend David's Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Wednesday, December 29th from 4:00 until 6:00pm.
