Daniel R. Goad

November 22, 1933 — October 10, 2013

Daniel R. Goad, the beloved husband of Carole (Pulsifer) Goad, a resident of Pepperell, formerly of Lowell died on Thursday October 10, 2013 with his family by his side. He was 79.
Dan was born in Lowell on November 22, 1933, a son of the late Raymond and Irene (Halwich) Goad.
He attended Lowell schools and left early in 1951 to enter the Army. After earning his jump wings he served in the 5th regimental combat team and was involved in the battle of Outpost Harry during the Korean War.
Prior to his retirement Dan worked as a parts manager in the diesel engine industry.
Family was paramount for Papa. All he ever wanted to do was spend time with them. He enjoyed family dinners at his daughters' home. Dan cherished dogs and took pleasure in all of the dogs he had throughout his life.
He was a fan of Ted Williams and the Boston Red Sox who rooted for all of the Boston teams. He liked watching old movies with Carole. His family recalls what a hard worker he was. How he was faithful, loyal and honest to a fault.
