Daniel E. Fougère, age 57, a long-time resident of Londonderry, NH died unexpectedly following a devastatingly acute illness at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Maria Isabel Fougère, married 29 years this coming September 25.
Dan was born in Lynn, MA on June 19, 1965, son of the late Paul F. and Marguerite M. (Burwell) Fougère. He was raised and educated in Bedford, MA. He has been employed by Benco Dental, PA as a Territory Representative in MA, NH and VT for over 20 years, developing countless personal and professional connections.
Dan was a skilled carpenter, and would build anything from picture frames, to tables, to even paved walkways and car garages. He coached Little League, Soccer and Lacrosse for many years. He enjoyed fishing, skiing, snowmobiling and boating, especially in the Sunapee, NH area. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. You could find him at the grill most Sunday evenings, because “Steak is my friend”.
In addition to his wife, Dan is survived by two loving sons, Thomas N. and Mathieu J; his sister Gabrielle and her husband Jeffrey Dodds of Malden, MA; four brothers:, Paul J. and his wife Linda of Van Nuys, CA, Peter L. and his wife Laura Blacklaw of Cambridge, MA, Mark J. of Bedford, MA and Gregory M. and his wife Cheryl of Bedford, MA; several nieces and nephews, a large and loving political family, and many true long-time friends.
Calling hours will be held at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Thursday, Sept. 15, 4:00-8:00 pm. His funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 16 at the St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, 96 Riverneck Road, Chelmsford - funeral procession meets at McKenna-Ouellette Funeral Home at 10:00 am.
