Lowell – Daniel F. Chisholm, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died unexpectedly on Friday October 28, 2011 at a local nursing facility. He was 85.
He was born in Lowell on July 26, 1926, a son of the late Donald and Annie (Doyle) Chisholm.
Danny attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Keith Academy. He was a WWII veteran having served in the Army with the 4th infantry Division. While serving with the 4th Dan participated in the Rhineland Central Europe Campaign, and the Battle of the Bulge.
Prior to his retirement he was employed at UMASS, Lowell as an administrative assistant.
Danny was a member of the East end Club, the VFW post 662 in Lowell and AARP.
Survivors include a sister Anna L. Blanchard of Lowell, with whom he resided; and several nieces and nephews including Ann Louise Sech and her husband John. He was the brother of the late Eleanor Chisholm, Florence Redican, Marion Mulholland, Virginia McDaniel and William Chisholm.
