DRACUT - Daisy M. (Gonzalez) Baxter, 57, a resident of Dracut died Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Kevin A. Baxter, to whom she was married for 33 years.
She was born in Cambridge on July 22, 1959, and was a daughter of Gloria (Vargas) Gonzalez of Tewksbury and the late Bienvenido Gonzalez. She received her education in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School, class of 1977. She went on to earn her associates degree from Massachusett Bay Community College.
Daisy's passion was caring for the elderly and had worked with them in various capacities throughout the years.
She was an active member of Christ Church United of Dracut.
Daisy was an avid reader, especially the bible, and enjoyed spending summers boating and camping at Ossipee Lake.
In addition to her husband and mother, Daisy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ross and Judit Baxter; her daughter, Rachel Baxter of Manchester, NH; her two sisters, Maria Marchand and her husband Michael of Tewksbury and Crucita Johnson of St. Petersburg, FL; her mother-in-law, Marion Baxter of Westminster; three sisters-in-law, Marie Salig and her husband Ron of Grafton, Patricia Baxter and her husband Steven Reardon of Bethleham, NH, and Elizabeth Ferrick and her husband Thomas of Westminster; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the daughter-in-law of the late Frederick Baxter.
