TYNGSBORO- Cynthia B. (Dougherty) Lareau, 59, of Tyngsboro, died Wednesday December 11, 2013 at her home following a period of health complications. She was the beloved wife of Robert W. Lareau of Tyngsboro ,with whom she was married for 40 years. Born in Albany, NY on May 29, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Beth (Golding) Dougherty.
Cindy was a 1972 graduate of Lowell High School. She went on to further her education at Middlesex Community College earning a degree in Business.
For many years, she was employed as an engineering assistant by MA/COM of Lowell.
Cindy was a proud member of the Red Hat Society. She made so many great friends and memories being a part of this special society. She was a faithful Red Sox fan and also enjoyed baking and quilting in her free time. Most recently she enjoyed playing the game of Canasta. Above all things, being a Grammy to her six grandchildren was most important to her.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Davidson and her husband, Gordon of Nashua, NH, Tracy Rachdorf and her husband, Eric of Wilmington; six grandchildren, Briana and Alyssa Lopez, Thomas Dwyer, Damian and Katrina Rachdorf and Riley Davidson; a sister, Wendy Dick and her husband, Mike of Troy, NH; a dear friend, Deborah (West) Leroux of Methuen; many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. She was the sister of the late Tara Dougherty.
