Constance "Connie" (Brissette)(Goulet) Provencher

DRACUT – Constance "Connie" (Brissette) (Goulet) Provencher, 84, a Lowell resident, died May 26, 2018, at the D'Youville Senior Care.

God blessed her with two loving husbands, the late Gilbert J. Goulet who died tragically on November 1958 and Donald L. Provencher who died October 1990 after a courageous fight with brain cancer.

Born in Lowell on May 29, 1933, she was the youngest child of the late Edouard and Albina (Caron) Brissette. She was a long time resident of Dracut before moving to Bruyere Gardens and later D'Youville Senior Care in Lowell.

Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Provencher had been employed as the office clerk for over 20 years by A.J. Gagnon and Sons, Dracut.

She was a communicant of the former St Louis de France Church but belonged to St Francis Parish, Dracut, in recent years following the closure of the former. While at St. Louis she belonged to the Ste. Anne Sodality, the St Louis Guild, the Discussion Group and Prayer Group. She volunteered with the children of the St. Francis Parish. She was also a member of the D'Youville Manor Ladies Guild.

She is survived by a two daughters, Cynthia (Goulet), and a son-in-law, Franklin Wickens, their sons Curtis, his wife, Page and daughter, Emma and Cameron; Cathleen (Goulet) Wheatley, her sons, Kyle and Tye; and son, Steven and his wife, Diane and their children Lindsey and Jacob. In addition she is survived by a brother, Raymond, a sister-in-law Barbara Sachs and her husband Denis, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and close friends.

She was the sister of the late Normand Brissette, US Navy killed in action during World War II, the late Donald Brissette, and the late Ethel Mackey and her husband Bob and sister-in-law, Terri.

PROVENCHER – May 26, 2018, Constance "Connie" (Brissette) (Goulet) Provencher. A funeral service will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery Chapel, Chelmsford, on Friday, June 15, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Francis Conference, P.O. Box 609, Dracut, MA 01826.
