Proud Mother, Grandmother & Military Wife
Constance J. Dussault, born in Lowell on September 17, 1935, the daughter of the late Ruth (Young) Guilmette and Alfred Guilmette passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on August 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Constance is predeceased by her husband Joseph H. Dussault (former City of Lowell Veteran’s Agent) to whom she was married for 65 years.
Constance loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. Her proudest accomplishment was supporting her husband Joe as they traveled for over twenty years with the United States Army. Constance was a proud military wife and enjoyed traveling and making friends while being stationed with her husband in many parts of the world including, San Antonio, Texas, Paris, France and Washington DC, where Joe served as a medic at the Walter Reed Military Hospital. After they returned home, Constance was an active participant in many community and military organizations including, the Retired Armed Forces Association, Dracut Lions and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) Post 662. Constance also worked for many years at Grace Shoe Company prior to her retirement as a retail manager at Stuart’s in Lowell. Constance enjoyed playing Bingo, dancing, spending time with family and telling stories of her life and travels to her grandchildren.
Constance is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Jo Hudzik of Lowell and Joyce C. Dussault and her spouse, Margaret Carson of Ocala, Florida. Constance was blessed with five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren include, Lori A. (Hudzik) and her husband, Dr. Jay Lang, Jennifer (Hudzik) and her husband, Carlos Castellano, Courtney Hudzik, Mark Killgren and Joseph Killgren. Her great-grandchildren include Connor, Timothy and Aidan Lang, Alexis, Breannah and Carlos Castellano, Kaitlyn (Castellano) and her spouse, Michael Rogers, Lindsey Hudzik, Nathaniel Foresti, Jadyn Killgren, Jace Frost-Hudzik, Aubree Richardson and Lilah and Michael Rogers Jr.
Constance was the second of six children and is survived by three siblings and their spouses. They include Nancy and Frank Bergado, Debra and Ray Marion and Gary and Terry Guilmette. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Donna Dussault. She is predeceased by siblings, Judy Dempski, Sandra Bergeron, Ronald Guilmette, Joseph G. Guilmette and Alfred Guilmette. She is also predeceased by her son-law, Robert. J. Hudzik, great-grandson, Jimmy Hudzik and in-laws, Barney and Elizabeth Dussault.
Relatives and friends are invited to Constance’s funeral service on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 1:30 PM at ST. JOSEPH CEMETERY CHAPEL, 96 Riverneck Road, Chelmsford.
