LOWELL - Constance M. (Chandonnet) Cote, 78, a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 30, 2016, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis R. Cote.
Born in Lowell, on August 23, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Bertha (Gagnon) Chandonnet.
Mrs. Cote was a long time parishioner of the former Ste. Jeanne d'Arc Church,and following the parish closure, she became a parishioner of the Holy Family Parish. Along with her husband Francis, she was involved with the marriage encounter group through the Catholic Church.
She enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Town Travelers Square Dance Group.
Most important to her was her faith and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Cote leaves six children, Roland L. Cote and his wife Donna (Despres) of Lowell, Herve J. Cote of San Diego, CA, Francine J. Clay and her husband Laurence of Lowell, Louis R. Cote and his wife JoAnne (Chasse) of Dracut, Marcel W. Cote of Derry, NH and Celine B. Gettings and her husband Michael of Lowell; four siblings, Louis Chandonnet and his wife Judith of Fremont, NH, Dorothy Turcotte and her husband Rene of Lowell, Jeannine Walker and her husband Warren of Reading and Gloria St. Laurent and her husband Maurice of Dracut; 12 grandchildren, April Johnston, Tracy Levesque, Michael Cote, Nicole Clay, Elise Gilbreath, Ethan Clay, Jessica Adair, Jennifer Sutherland, Amanda Cote, Emily Cote, Joshua Gettings and Julia Gettings; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Stephen Clay.
