Dracut – Clinton R. Crawford, the beloved husband of Eva C. (Bevins) Crawford, a resident of Dracut died Tuesday, November 6, 2012, following a period of declining health. He was 77.
Clinton was born in Lowell on June 19, 1935 a son of the late Clinton H. and Rose (Carl) Crawford.
Prior to his retirement he was employed as a precision mechanical inspector. Clinton was a communicant of St. Michael Church. He was also a member of the Lowell Senior Citizen Club, and the SAGE program at the Salvation Army in Lowell.
Clinton was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching baseball, auto racing and football. He took great pride in his garden, especially his tomatoes. He enjoyed meeting his friends every morning for coffee at McDonald's on Bridge St. in Dracut. Most of all Clinton cherished the time he spent with his granddaughter Kaylie.
Surviving him besides his wife of 55 years are a son and daughter in law, Clinton "Rocky" and Patti Crawford of Dracut; his granddaughter, Kaylie Crawford of Dracut; a brother and sister in law, Richard and Nancy Crawford of Windham, NH; a sister, Rose Arcand of Dracut; a sister in law, Cecile Crawford of Dracut; sisters in law and brothers in law, Theresa Vezina of Pelham, NH, Pauline and Ray Bisson, Robert and Evelyn Bevins, Shirley Dufresne, Dorothy and Emile Carbonneau, Alfred and Aline Bevins, Rita Gustafson all of Lowell, Pauline Bevins of AZ; also several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Gerald Crawford and brother in law of the late Donald and Warren Bevins.
