Windsor, NH - Clifford M. MacDonald Sr., 70, a resident of Windsor, NH for the last 10 years, died Monday, January 31, 2005 at the Concord Hospital, Concord, NH following a brief battle with lung cancer. He was the husband of the late Irene (Landry) MacDonald.
Born in Lowell on March 28, 1934, he was the son of the late Lillian (Masse) Knapp and Ralph Knapp.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. MacDonald was employed in the missile systems department of the Raytheon Corporation of Andover and received a commendation for his 25 years of service to the company.
While residing in Windsor, he served on the solid waste advisory board for Hillsborough County and was a member of the Hillsborough American Legion.
Mr. MacDonald enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid gardener. He enjoyed spending time with his many friends and neighbors. He served with the Army National Guard as operations sergeant and was an expert sharpshooter.
He is survived by a daughter, Susan M. MacDonald of Westford; three sons, Clifford M. MacDonald Jr. of Lowell, David R. MacDonald of Westford and Gary L. MacDonald of Westford; a brother, Ralph Knapp of Lowell; four grandchildren, Brian and Bruce Coutu, Cote and Chelsea MacDonald; beloved friends and neighbors. He was the father of the late Ralph A. MacDonald.
