Claudette "Toots" Shibel, 69, of Phoenix AZ died peacefully on Sunday May 24th 2009, at the Desert Gardens hospice home in Phoenix AZ.

She was born June 6, 1939 in Dracut MA, daughter of the late Leo and Lillian (Albert) Roussell. Claudette was the widow of Kenneth Shibel who died in 1996.

Claudette lived much of her life in Dracut MA where she and her husband helped her father with his family business. She moved to Nashua in 1966 where she resided for 2 years and then to Ohio for 5 years. She eventually moved to Arizona in 1982 where she made her final home. There, Claudette worked as an office administrator in the construction sector until 2008 when she retired in order to pursue diverse personal
activities.

Claudette was formally a communicant of St. Theresa's Church now St. Marguerite D'Youville Parish in Dracut MA. prior to moving from the area.

Claudette's hobbies included tennis, bowling, dancing, cooking and gardening. She also loved the ocean and enjoyed traveling. She will be remembered by all for her signature "bubbly" personality, her zest for life and her gracious hospitality. An additional 'Toots" trademark that will not be forgotten would be her outdoor home d�cor & holiday themes which she proudly displayed throughout the years.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Martina Shibel of Queen Creek AZ and Stephen and Julie Shibel of Paris, France; one brother and three sisters, Leo Roussell of Peoria AZ, Jeanne Passon of Glendale AZ, Elaine Paquette of Burlington VT and Collette Deneault of Hudson, NH; four grandchildren, Allie, Kennedy, Lena and Ethan; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
