Claire R. Marquis

OBITUARY
DRACUT - Claire R. (Lamoureux) Marquis, 83, a resident of Dracut, died Thursday, September 15, 1005, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston. She was the wife of the late Roland E. Marquis.
Born in Lowell on November 16, 1921, she was a daughter of the late George and Eliza (Levesque) Lamoureux.
Mrs. Marquis attended Lowell Schools and was a longtime communicant of the former Ste. Jeanne d' Arc Church.
For over 30 years she and her husband owned and operated the Riverside Market on Riverside Street in Lowell.
She is survived by a daughter, Rachelle T. Chenard of Ashland; a son, Richard Marquis and his wife Marilyn of New Boston, NH; two brothers, Marcel Lamoureux and his wife Rose of Dracut and Roland Lamoureux and his wife Georgia of FL; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Lamoureux of Dracut; two grandchildren, Jonathan M. Chenard of San Francisco, CA and Christine M. Marquis of New Boston, NH; also several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Donat Lamoureux, Emile Lamoureux and Theresa Cook.
