Claire Adriene (Dutile) Gagnon, a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, died on Monday July 6, 2015 with her family by her side. She was 85.
Born in Billerica on December 19, 1929, Claire was a daughter of the late George J. and Cecile (Trembley) Dutile.
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert L. Gagnon, Sr., with whom she celebrated 62 years of marriage at the time of his death on May 27, 2014.
Claire was a graduate of St. Anne's Academy in Marlborough, and spent her career as a dental assistant.
She was a volunteer and past treasurer of the Middlesex North Special Olympics. Claire pioneered a religious education program for special needs children and adults at the former Ste Jeanne d'Arc Parish. While a parishioner there, she chaired the Parish Council. She also served as President of the PTA for Ste Jeanne d'Arc School. She was most proud to be a valued part of the creation of Catie's Closet. She was currently a parishioner of St. Francis Parish in Dracut.

Anne-Marie Bisson of Tyngsboro; sixteen grandchildren, Steven (& Dannielle) Gagnon of Windham, NH; Danielle Gagnon of Philadelphia, PA; Jessica Trombly of Chalrlestown, MA; Jennifer Gagnon of Derry, NH; Nicholas (& Julie) Harris of Somerville, MA; Michael (& Jackie) Gagnon of Pembroke, NH; Matthew (& Maggie)Trombly of Naples, FL; Christopher (& Simone) Harris of Marlborough; Daniel Bisson of Deerfield; Michelle Harris (& Ryan Willett) of Chelmsford; Andrew Trombly of York, ME; Michael Bisson of Lowell; Sarah Gagnon of Windham, NH; David Gagnon of Windham, NH; Samantha Bisson of Tyngsboro; Jacob Gagnon of Windham, NH; She was also predeceased by her beloved granddaughter Catie Bisson who passed away in 2010. 11 great grandchildren; She is survived by sister Germaine Boynton of Sprucehead, ME and Helen Ross of Hudson, NH, sisters-in-law Polly Dutile and Cecile Gagnon, brother-in-law Joseph Decosta and Victor Bisson. She was sister of the late Marie Payette, Theresa Giles, Jeanne DeCosta, Robert Dutile and George Dutile Jr.
