Claire A. (St. Hilaire) Duhamel, 89, a lifelong Lowell resident, beloved wife of the late Louis Charles Duhamel, died peacefully Friday July 10, 2009 surrounded by her loving children.
Born in Lowell on March 18, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Cora (Demers) St. Hilaire.
Claire was a longtime communicant of Ste. Marie Church in South Lowell. She is survived by a son, Rev. Richard C. Duhamel and his wife, Marie of Harlingen, TX; a daughter, Ruby (Duhamel) Cook of Lowell; a sister, Pauline Hogan of Lowell; five grandchildren, Ronald R. and Brenda Duhamel of Cabot, AR, Amy-Jean (Cook) and John Leblanc of Lunenburg, Louis C. Cook of Westford, Charles J. "C.J." Duhamel and his wife, Meranda and Trishea M. Duhamel, all of TX; and eleven great grandchildren.
She was a sister of the late Lillianne Sousa, Jeannette Camire and grandmother of the late Paula Ann Duhamel.
