Claire T. Dionne

Claire T. (Hamel) Dionne a resident of Salem, NH and beloved wife of the late Theodore T. Dionne passed away at the Lawrence General Hospital following a brief illness on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. She was 92.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut on October 19, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Victor and Cecilia (Latour) Hamel.

She attended St. Michael School in Lowell and Dracut High School.

Prior to her retirement Claire was employed as an assembler at the former Wang Laboratories for 17 years and retiring from the Raytheon Corporation.

Claire enjoyed arts and crafts, knitting and crocheting. She and Ted loved camping and snowmobiling all of New Hampshire for more than 35 years. She was an active member of the Salem, NH Senior Center and the Salem Elks, she also held membership in AARP. Claire was happiest when spending time with her family.

Surviving Claire are her children Norman Lussier and his companion Donna Groom of Malden, Suzanne Morin and her husband Dennis of Groton; a stepdaughter Patricia Dozibrin and her husband John of Salem, NH; five grandchildren, Kerrie Jaskal and her husband Jason, Kristin Ruston, Steven Lussier, Jason Dionne, John Dozibrin; seven great grandchildren; a sister in law Ann Hamel of Colorado; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Norman and Paul Hamel, Rita Emond, and stepmother of the late Stephen Dionne.

Relatives and friends are invited to Claire's Life Celebration at the McKenna-Ouellette Funeral Home, 327 Hildreth Street from 3 until 7 PM on Monday. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Claire's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
