Claire B. Connors

Claire B. Connors, 88, of Dracut, died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family Wednesday January 20, 2010 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Norman P. Connors.
Born in Lowell on March 19, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Alphonse Rheault and Aldea (Roy)(Rheault) Pollinger and step daughter of the late Charles Pollinger.
Prior to her marriage, Claire was employed as a stitcher for Abbot Worsted Mill and Suffolk Knitting in Lowell. Later in her employment, she worked at Sears and Roebuck in Lowell where she taught a knitting class. She would eventually retire from Raytheon.
Claire was a member of the Dracut Senior Citizen's Club and was a communicant of St. Michael Church in Lowell.
She would lovingly knit and crochet sweaters and flag afghans for her family and friends. She was a talented artist and enjoyed sketching with charcoals. Ceramics was among her many hobbies and Claire has a passion for gardening with roses being her favorite flower. She was an avid bowler, enjoying both candlepin and duckpin bowling. She was an excellent cook and made special holiday meals for her family.
Survivors include, Timothy P. Connors and his wife, Joyce (Benoit) of Lowell; two daughters, Denise A. Connors-Gardner and her husband, Les of Windham, ME , Michelle Ward of Leicester; a brother, Robert Pollinger of Fremont, NH; nine grandchildren, Tim and Shawn Connors of Lowell, Nathan and Evan Gardner of Windham, ME, Ashley, Sarah, and Jeremy Ward, Stephanie and Tyler Pierce all of Leicester; many nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Bernadette Beaudoin , George Pollinger and Gerard Rheault.
