Claire G. (Lippe) Clermont, 97, a resident of Chelmsford, but a long time Lowell resident, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Atrium at Drum Hill. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerard R. Clermont.
Born in Lowell on June 17, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Celias and Anna (Laferriere) Lippe.
Mrs. Clermont resided in the Centralville neighborhood and was a communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church.
Claire enjoyed travelling and bowling.

She is survived by two sons and their wives, Normand G. and Therese Y. (Toupin) Clermont and Robert V. and Jacqueline M. (Lamoureux) Clermont; a daughter and her husband, Denise C. and Albert McDougal; five granddaughters, Michelle Cox and her husband Matthew, Christine Clermont and her fiancé Star Fix, Kathleen Karp and her husband Evan, Julie Doherty and her husband John and Kaitlyn McDougal; three great grandchildren, Gaven and Quinnlyn Cox and Ella Karp; also several nieces and nephews.
She was a sister of the late Julienne Sawyer, Roland, George, Germain, Victor, Gabriel, Camille and Andrew Lippe.
