OBITUARY
LOWELL - Miss Claire L. Anstiss, 73, a lifelong resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Sunday, September 4, 2005 in a local nursing home.
Born in Lowell on December 15, 1931 she was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Antoinette R. (Harnois) Anstiss.
Miss Anstiss was a graduate of St. Louis Academy, she received her Bachelors Degree from Rivier College in Nashua, NH and her Masters Degree in Theology from Emmanuel College in Boston.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed for over 30 years as a lab assistant in the Cancer Research Department of the New England Medical Center in Boston.
A lifelong communicant of the former St. Louis de France Parish, she had been an active church volunteer.
She is survived by her brother and two sisters-in-law, Raymond L. and Ann (Quinn) Anstiss Sr. of Chelmsford and Jacqueline (Anstiss) Casserly of Lowell; nephews and nieces, Raymond L. and Terri Anstiss Jr. of Chelmsford, William Anstiss, Robert Anstiss and Carol Langlois, Joseph and Michelle Anstiss, Jerry and Maria Anstiss, George Anstiss, Claire and Denis Larose, Carol Gotham, Catherine Anstiss and Brian Burbine, Karen and Jose DeJesus, all of Lowell, Julie and Paul McDougall of Chelmsford and Barbara Jo Anstiss of CA; also many grandnephews and grandnieces. She was the sister of the late Rev. Arthur Anstiss and George Anstiss.
