She was born in Lowell on May 29, 1953, a daughter of Herbert and Blanche (Chagnon) Young of Lowell who survive her.
Cheryl was educated in Lowell schools and was employed in the administrative department at 3M Corporation in Chelmsford.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving her besides her parents are three daughters and two sons in law, Kerrie and Kenneth Shaw of Lowell, Deana Young of Lowell, Beth and Philip James of Somersworth, NH; four sisters and two brothers in law, Cathy and Paul Frechette of Merrimack, NH, Karen Bellemore of Lowell, Darlene and Jon Slates of Tyngsboro, Lisa Breton of Tyngsboro; two brothers and sisters in law, Wayne Young and Melody Cass, Craig and Amanda Young all of Austin, TX; four grandchildren, Kylie Makiej, Kendra Shaw, Jesse and Jacob James; and several nieces and nephews.
