Cheryl G. (Lord) (Heyl) Shelley, a Lowell resident, beloved wife of David F. Shelley, with whom she would have celebrated 10 years of marriage in April, and the late Normand Heyl, who died in 2003, died unexpectedly on Thursday March 26, 2015 at the Lowell General Hospital, Saints Campus. She was 63.
Born in Lowell she was a daughter of the late David C. Lord and Marilyn P. (Johnson) Lord of Dracut who survives her.
Cheryl was employed for many years as a secretary for A & L Taxi in Lowell.
She was proud of being a Rainbow Girl and now her granddaughter has become the fifth generation of Rainbow Girls in their family.
Cheryl enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing Pogo on the internet. She had a passion for her computer.
She loved the beach, especially Hampton Beach, and visiting the Beacon Resort in Lincoln, NH. An avid sports fan Cheryl took pleasure in the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. Most of all it was family the was paramount to Cheryl, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed helping with projects or just spending time with them.
He family describes her as a giving person who would do anything she could to help someone in need.
Surviving her besides her mother and husband are her three children and their spouses, Normand and Leah Heyl, Christopher and Jessica Heyl, all of Lowell, Joshua and Vanessa Evans of Arizona; eleven grandchildren, Joshua, Angelica, Brendan, Emily, Alexander, Isabella, and Sophia Heyl, Jewel, JJ, Alexis and Alysse Evans; brothers and sisters, David and Barbara Lord, of Dracut, Gladys Urban of Lowell, Paula and Russell Ripley of Dracut, Russell Lord of New Hampshire, Walter and Joan Lord of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Richard Lord.
