Charlotte E. Ward

Lowell - Charlotte E. Ward, 98, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell died Sunday November 5, 2006 at a local nursing home.
She was born in Amesbury on October 13, 1908, a daughter of the late James J. and Mary Louise (Lovering) Ward.
Ms. Ward graduated from the former Lowell Normal School in 1928. Following graduation she attended Lowell State College and received her B.S. in Education.
She was employed by the former New England Telephone Company for 34 years as an operator instructor. When she retired from the telephone company she taught at the Pawtucketville Memorial School for 10 years.
Charlotte was a member of the Smith Baker Center. She enjoyed dancing and was an avid bird watcher and a member of the Merrimack Valley Bird Association.
She is survived by a niece Kathleen Robinson of Chelmsford; a grandniece, Kristin Beaudry; a grandnephew, Brian Robinson; a dear friend Lucille Charron of Lowell; and several cousins. She was the sister of the late Mary L. Moushegian and Mabelle Frances Hodgkins.
