Charles W. Russell

LOWELL - Mr. Charles W. Russell Jr. went home to be with his Lord, where there will be no more pain and his struggle is over. He leaves his wife of 55 years Kathryn(Mace) and his beloved son Daniel, his wife Cindy and their three boys Jake, Simon and Declan who brought Charlie such joy especially in their younger years when he took them to feed the ducks and get ice cream. He loved to travel with his wife in their younger years. He enjoyed his trips to California, Florida and Hawaii but he was most proud of the three weeks he spent in Australia with his wife, Kathy. His recollections of feeding emus, riding camels and holding koalas brought him much pleasure in his later years.

Charles was born in Cholchester VT on January 22 1943 to Charles W. Russell, Sr. and Grace Russell. He is survived by his dear brother George and beloved sister Grace and her husband Wayne Hoffman. He leaves a niece Casi and her husband Tim and their son Shane as well as a nephew Devin and his wife Renee and their children Aiden and Page. He also leaves his sister in law Sharon Clark and her husband Ernest M. Clark. He was predeceased by his sister in law Mary Lee Russell and his niece Jodi, both of who were missed greatly.

Charles earned his LPN and worked at Lowell General Hospital for a time before he and Kathy moved to Ohio where they both attended Cedarille University from which Charles graduated with degrees in Theology and History. They moved back to Lowell where he worked at the Bedford VA as an RN, which he earned at Middlesex Community College while working full time.

He will be very sorely missed until his beloved wife Kathy joins him in Heaven.
