OBITUARY
DRACUT - Charles G. Reid Jr., 91, a Dracut resident, died Sunday, January 22, 2006 at the Lowell General Hospital. He was the widower of Sophie E. (Kuszek) Reid.
Born in Lowell on July 15, 1914, he was a son of the late Charles G. Reid Sr. and Mary (Crosby) Reid.
Mr. Reid had worked as a gas station attendant for the Mobil Gas Station on Bridge Street operated by Ralph Miller and the Shell Station on Bridge Street operated by Paul Allen and Paul Demers.
An Army Veteran of World War II, Mr. Reid was a Life Member of the VFW, Walker Roger's Post 662.
A former longtime resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, he was a communicant of St. Michael Church and a volunteer for the Parish Meals on Wheels Program.
He was a former member of the Pine Valley Golf Club in Pelham, NH and enjoyed bowling with the 61 Mixers and Casual Mixed League.
Mr. Reid is survived by two daughters, Kimberley A. Reid and Natalie M. Reid and her companion Dennis Burgeson, all of Dracut; a grandson, Wilmer R. Buote of Dracut; three sisters-in-law, Marion Savard of Hilton Head, SC, Laura Kuszek of Dracut and Jane Kuszek of Londonderry, NH; several nieces and nephews. He also leaves a close family friend, Geri Coggins of Dracut. He was the brother of the late Ethel Tompkins of Olympia, WA and Raymond Reid of Lowell.
