Charles O. McQuarrie

Charles O. McQuarrie, 84, a resident of Florida for the last 21 years, residing in Ft. Pierce, died Sunday, September 24, 2006 at the Indian River Memorial Hospital in Vero Beach, FL. He was the husband of Rita A. (Denault) McQuarrie with whom he celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on July 7, 2006.
Born in Lowell on August 9, 1922, he was a son of the late Charles O. and Anna T. (Sullivan) McQuarrie Sr.
He served with the United States Navy during World War II and was stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
A former resident of Chelmsford, he retired from the General Electric Company of Lowell after 35 years of service.
In addition to his wife he leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Edward McQuarrie Ph.D. and Elizabeth (Aust) McQuarrie of Arroyo Grande, CA; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Patricia A. and Paul Johnson of Pittsburg, PA, Charlene A. McQuarrie of Seattle, WA and Susan M. and Sean Garrity of Merrimack, NH; three grandchildren, Timothy Johnson, Charles and Frances McQuarrie; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Allen and Edward McQuarrie, Mary Hylan and Catherine A. Cheetham.
