Charles A. Lagos

BEDFORD - Charles A. Lagos, 90, a longtime Dracut resident, died peacefully on Friday, December 1 at the E. N. Rogers Memorial Veteran's Administration Hospital, Bedford, MA. For the past four years he had been battling periods of declining health. He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy A. (Bergeron) Lagos.
Born in Salem, MA on November 6, 1927 he was a son of the late Antonios and Glecaria (Thomopoulos) Lagos.
Mr. Lagos served with the United States Navy during World War II and the United States Army during the Korean War.
For many years Charles was a logistics supervisor at Hanscom Field Air Force Base.
He was a member of the Greek American Legion, a former coach of the Dracut Baseball Association and an avid local sports fan.
He leaves a son, Anthony M. Lagos of Dracut; three daughters, Alison Lawrence and her husband Steve of Merrimack, NH, Pamela McNamara of Dracut and Melanie Callahan and her husband Michael of Middleton; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Luke and Julie Lagos, Jessica Frost, Alexander and Holly Callahan and Nicholas and Emily McNamara; a great granddaughter, Celine Lagos; a former daughter in law, Sharon Lagos, a former son-in-law, Timothy McNamara, and a former sister in law, Liz Lagos. He was the father of the late Christopher Lagos and brother of the late George Lagos.
