Cecile (Charbonneau) Harris

November 1, 1932 — November 2, 2015

Lowell - Cecile (Charbonneau) Harris, wife of the late Charles Harris, a Lowell resident, died at a local nursing facility on Monday, November 2, 2015. She was 83.

Born in Lowell on November 1, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Adelard and Flora (Cote) Charbonneau.

In earlier years Cecile worked in the local Mills. Her full time job was tending to her family and managing their home.

She enjoyed Bingo, jigsaw puzzles, and shopping. While at home she looked forward to watching her game shows, soap operas, and cooking shows. Cecile's house was the "coffee stop" for family and friends. Visitors to her home often had a chance to sample her famous goulash and fricassée.
Cecile looked forward to her trips to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Throughout the years, she looked after her birds. Cecile had pet parakeets and cockatiels, and they all knew how to mimic and speak choice words and phrases at some inopportune times. Most of all for Cecile it was about family, as they were paramount to her. She cherished all of the time spent with everyone.
Survivors include her six children, Jeanne Gargiulo, Linda Cerretti, Virginia Kinney and her husband Leo, all of Lowell, Donna Colby of Louisville, KY, Charles Harris, Jr. Of Nashua, NH, Maurice Harris and his wife Tangie of Fresno, CA; fourteen grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Roeschlaub of Lowell, Pauline Bruck of Louisville, KY; and several nieces and nephews. She was the former wife of the late Lawrence Graham, and sister of the late Maurice, Armand, Arthur, Leo, Adelard, Jr., Theresa and Jeanne.
