Cecile A. "Sis" (Allard) Destrempe, 91, widow of the late Edmund J. Destrempe who died in 1991, died Friday afternoon at a local Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lowell on December 9, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Arcelia (Martel) Allard and received her education in the Lowell schools.
For over 15 years, Mrs. Destrempe worked as an assembler for the Honeywell Corporation. Following her retirement she volunteered for 10 years as a Foster Grandmother in the Dracut Middle School. Mrs. Destrempe attended the former St.Theresa's Church in Dracut and was a member of both the Dracut and Centraville
Senior Citizen Clubs.
She is survived by two daughters, JoAnn McNamara of Dracut and Jean West and her husband Bob of Milford, NH; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a brother, Henry Allard of Virginia. Mrs. Destrempe was the sister of the late Lillian Lozeau and mother in law of the late Francis McNamara.
