Cecile Beaudoin … age 90, of Lowell
LOWELL – Cecile (Roy) Beaudoin, 90, a Lowell resident, died Sunday, July 24, 2011, at the Lowell General Hospital, with her loving family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband Roland T. Beaudoin.
Mrs. Beaudoin was born in Manchester, NH on November 27, 1920, a daughter of the late Telesphore and Yvonne (Lafleur) Roy. She met and married Roland Beaudoin and moved to Lowell.
She and her husband Roland raised their three children in the Centralville section of Lowell for 15 years. They then moved to the Pawtucketville section of Lowell where they lived for the remainder of their lives.
Cecile and her husband Roland spent more than 15 winters in Harlingen, TX, where they enjoyed many wonderful winters together.
Cecile could accomplish anything she set her mind to do. She taught herself to sew and became a professional seamstress for Lowell area residents. She also enjoyed gardening and created beautiful gardens at each of her residences.
She was an active member of the Dracut Senior Center where she enjoyed many activities with her friends. She was also a communicant of St. Rita Church in Pawtucketville.
Mrs. Beaudoin is survived by her three children, Constance Raymond and her husband Francis of Lowell, Richard Beaudoin and his wife Diane of Lowell and Pearl Racette and her partner Cheryl Proia of AZ; two brothers, Rudolph Roy and his wife Beatrice of Bedford, NH and Maurice Roy and his wife Beatrice of FL; three grandchildren, Denise Sanchez and her husband Gary, Robin Donahue and her husband Michael and Peter Brouillard and his wife Stacey; three great grandchildren, Tyler, Ethan and Peyton; also several nieces and nephews.
She was a sister of the late Raymond and Leo Roy.
