Catherine R. Kay Cullen

Dracut - Mrs. Catherine R. "Kay" (O'Loughlin) Cullen, a resident of Dracut, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at the Holy Family Hospital, Methuen. She was the wife of the late John P.M. Cullen.
Born in Lowell on June 11, 1914, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Madden) O'Loughlin.
Mrs. Cullen was a graduate of the former St. Peter's Parochial School and Lowell High School. She was retired from the E.N. Rogers' Memorial Veteran's Hospital in Bedford, MA and was previously employed by Penn's Clothing of Lowell.
She was a longtime resident of the Christian Hill neighborhood in the Centralville section of Lowell and following retirement, she and her husband moved to Anaheim CA, where they lived for 25 years. She most recently lived in Dracut where she was a communicant of St. Francis Church.
Mrs. Cullen was an ardent Red Sox Fan and enjoyed trips to Foxwoods Casino.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, John R. and JoAnn Cullen of Dracut, Kevin and Anne Cullen of Crestline, CA and Brian R. Cullen of Bellflower, CA; two daughters, Joan Plunkett of Methuen and Catherine Cullen and her partner Jody Michael of Chicago, IL; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the mother of the late Jerome F. Cullen, mother-in-law of the late Michael D. Plunkett and sister of the late Mary Hardy and Elizabeth Hoobler.
