Catherine A. "Kay" Cheetham - Lifelong communicant of St. Michael Church
LOWELL - Mrs. Catherine A. "Kay" (McQuarrie) Cheetham, 79, a Centralville resident, died Friday, December 23, 2005 at her home. She was the wife of Henry G. Cheetham with whom she was married for 57 years.
Born in Lowell on January 13, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Charles O. and Hannah (Sullivan) McQuarrie Sr.
Mrs. Cheetham was a lifelong communicant of St. Michael Church and was a member of the League of Catholic Women. She was a member of United Commercial Travelers and was the past president of the U.C.T. Ladies Auxiliary.
Prior to her retirement she was employed by Dr. Brendan Leahy as a medical receptionist for 36 years.
Mrs. Cheetham was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was known to all as Nana.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine and John Florence of Lowell and Mary Ellen and Michael Conole of Dracut; a brother, Charles O. McQuarrie Jr. and his wife Rita of Ft. Pierce, Fl; six grandchildren, John Florence, Shaelagh Florence, Jennifer Florence, Kathryn Conole, Meghan Conole and Deirdre Conole; two great grandchildren, Michaela Mailea and Joshua James Florence; also several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Allan McQuarrie, Edward McQuarrie and Mary Hylan.
